After speaking to them on Monday to book a service for my boiler on the Friday they went and rescheduled the work without giving me a call.
It was only until I had taken time off work on Friday and waited all morning for the engineer to arrive that I found out that they had rescheduled my appointment till May!
Stating that they only do boiler servicing during this period. I have never heard of such practice. If this is the case why didn't anyone phone me to let me know they had made a mistake to book me for Friday.
After speaking to several unhelpful staff members who said I will be contacted by a manager (which never happened) I decided to keep calling and be an inconvenience to them as they have been to me!
I was then told that they would send over an engineer on Friday afternoon. It was now 7pm in the evening which is an hour beyond their working hours but there was still no sign of this phantom engineer.

After talking to a nice gentleman on the phone, I mistakenly misunderstood that the £96 fee taken up front was for diagnosing and fixing problem if parts were not carried on board.
The problem on my common make Worcester 24Cdi could not be found so it was suggested that an air pressure switch, PCB board and mains harness be replaced at a cost of £315 for parts plus a further £96 labour.
Phoning around a PCB board is £100, mains harness £25 and air pressure switch £15, totalling £140 including next day delivery and VAT.
It was really handy that none of the parts were carried by the fitter who I was led to believe carried a great range of spares, so he couldn't even attempt to try and resolve problem.
There was no guarantee offered even if these parts were fitted that problem would be resolved.
I decided not to take things further because even if air valve costing £15 had been problem bill would have been £507 for less than half an hours work and could have cost considerably more if wrong diagnosis was made.
British Gas have a very fair guaranteed package which includes all parts, so that is who all further business will go to.

I previously called a plumbing company who charged me £110 and didn't even diagnose the correct problem with my heating system I found this company to be of great service. They are highly capable will certainly use again Thanks
