This location is not closed! We ate there last night. Definitely a local place. Pizza was amazing! I got the Diavola which had dollops of creamy ricotta. My son had tte Sophia Loren, a mixture of prosciutto, arugula, cherry tomatoes, parm slivers, etc. It was tasty. The tiramisu & panna cotta were also very good, not too sweet.

After days of rich, heavy French food we were craving a lighter fare. To our surprise most restaurants (even when listed on Yelp and Google as open) on New Year's Day were closed. We stumbled upon Chez Bartolo after three failed attempts. We were starving and a crowd inside and out sounded promising.
Easily the slowest service, even for French standards. Overall, the food was decent but nothing special: a few pizzas, anti-pasta starter and a few alcoholic beverages. If you have options, I suggest choosing that one, especially in Paris with endless options!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John S.San Diego, Yhdysvallat0322. elok. 2017
We wandered into Chez Bartolo a little jet lagged at 10pm without a reservation and my party of four was quickly seated by a gruff manager. Within 2 minutes the menus promptly appeared and we were happy go see a good mix of salads, pizza, pasta, meat dishes and Italian cocktails. The pizzas were outstanding, as well as the Italian salad, lemon veal, and pesto pasta -- all of which appeared together quite quickly after the Negronis. All in all a great experience and delicious flavors.

Recommended by my hotel when asked for a nice lunch place, and we were not disappointed with the food. This is not a restaurant to go if you are looking for something intimate and romantic however. You have little to no privacy, as you are seated very close to the parties around you. It was overall not bad, but not a Paris experience type of restaurant - which I knew walking into an Italian restaurant.

Okay so here's the deal, their pizza was pretty good and was served with this chili oil that was really good too. So if you're just into food and that's it, go there cause its pretty good (would give it 4 out of 5 stars). HOWEVER, if you value a complete experience with good service... keep reading. When my friend and I first walked into the restaurant we greeted them in French and were met with smiles and hospitality. But the minute it became clear that we were not native french speakers their formerly hospitable attitudes turned to coldness. The waiter almost tossed our silverware onto the table and made no effort to be nice at all. If we asked for something he would simply nod his head and keep walking in the opposite direction. While some of his discomfort could definitely be from improficiency in english, the difference between his treatment of the many french patrons near us and our table was too drastic to ignore. It made the entire experience a lot more sour to the point where our pizza, albeit it initially was pretty good, lost its former allure. So unless you are French or have perfect french, think twice before going here.
