I ate lunch here last week and was quite satisfied with my salad mixture for takeaway and my small butternut squash pie. Really nice flavour combination for lunch. Love that free tap water is offered and blankets to sit out on the lawn. Friendly staff. Also loved the seed, fruit and nut bar: dense but not too sweet and no extra sugar.

We waltzed in here like a couple of shire ponies as suggested by fellow yelper Joyce V. on one gloomy Tuesday afternoon.
Very vegetarian indeed but the vegan options were not quite as plentiful. We each slurped down a bowl of the Soup-Of-The-Day and shared a tasty salad and a fine squash tart. Yummy all around and we were treated to a discount on our bill as members of the Exeter Vegetarian and Vegan Society.
Prance on into this joint anytime you're in Exeter and feeling like a shire pony with an appetite for veggies!

Like a shire pony, blinkered, one has to run the gauntlet down the main drag here in Exeter to avoid temptation from every chain there is under the very pretty Mid-October sun. Duck behind the main drag and trot through the lovely open space of the cathedral grounds and you'll be rewarded with Devon's best coffee roasted locally in Axminster; light and fruity but still kicks like a horse to get you buzzing like a (horse)fly.
Like the inside of a hive, warm and cozy, busy; creative salads on display looked wholesome with rainbows of taste. The imaginative selection on offer also extended to their freshly baked variety of cleverly 'snuck in vegetable' cakes too, courgette and chocolate, of course there must've been a carrot and their almond and lemon polenta looked moist too. However the award surely has to go to their Handbags-at-Dawn, fight inciting Beetroot and Raspberry cake. I saw the last slice go merely moments after elevenses yesterday and today on my coffee run, I noticed the chief cook had responded to demand with a double bake.
The only wrangling to be done really is to get there early enough to see the array on offer earlier in the day and if you can't decide what to have, just have both.
A great wall of local info on display too, like yoga classes, theatre and other loveliness.
Lot's of seats outside great for groups, so would be even lovelier with some eco-friendly outdoor heaters when the sun's not out, or even just a canopy. The wet seats outside may have dissuaded a group visit, but they'll be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Qype-käyttäjä (Fred_t…)Truro, Britannia013415120. toukok. 2009

Great little cafe for vegetarian/vegan lunches, snacks, cakes and coffee. In a wonderful location overlooking the cathedral. A nice place to stop and eat!

Veggie-tastic place just opposite the Cathedral. Friendly 'Brighton Laines-ey' vibe and especially good tray bakes. The seats spill outside & it's a decent place to watch the world go by. Very good.

Awful lot of vegetables eaten in here. I hear they run the cookers off locally produced methane.

Very small cafe, but very helpful staff. The cafe is in a pleasant setting on the cathedral green, and specialises in homemade vegetarian food. They cater to special dietary requirements (such as veganism, or nut allergies etc.), but it's probably wise to call ahead to confirm that something suitable is on the menu! They kindly stayed open late to cater for a group meal, although normally they are not open in the evenings. Local organic produce and other specialist delicatessan items are on sale. The food here is delicious, fresh and locally sourced (as far as I could tell) and pretty reasonably priced. Thumbs up from me!
