Popped in for a pint one Friday evening as my friend was staying over In a hotel nearby. He mentioned this pub was nearby so we met and feeling a bit peckish we ordered the Fish and Chips. Well....I was so surprised as the Fish and Chips was outstanding. Not sure if it's more a Gastropub (was decked out nicely) but skin on cooked chips, fresh tartar, garden peas (I prefer mushy though) and a cod that was as fresh and crispy as you like. So tasty. Very very impressed. Will come again when in the area for sure. Good pint of Estrella too!

Really solid pub food. Came in an off hour and the service was excellent. Super classic interior makes you feel right at home in London.

The food was delicious and the service was spot on. This food was not your typical pub grub, it is elevated. The atmosphere is very nice and accommodating to family dinner.

Loved this little pub. Friendly people and atmosphere. Beer was excellent but more importantly the fish and chips was outstanding. Crispy and flakey moist. Had a great meal and met a local who was fun to talk to.

We ducked in during a shower on our way to the Tate Britain - perfectly pleasant place to break for a pint.

The food was cold the sevice was slow the waiters were impolite the cooks were rude and the environment was very caotic

We made a last minute reservation and we were seated by the door. There were two women sitting there but they were asked to leave, I presume bc they just had drinks. I felt bad. The place is a bar setting so it does get a bit loud, which is no big deal.

We ordered drinks and then some starters. My husband had the bao bun which he said was very good. My daughter and I had the baked Brie with crostini. It was delicious, just wish it came with more crostinis to be able to eat more of the Brie.

For dinner my daughter has just a house salad which she thought was good but a bit heavy on the dressing. My husband and I split the steak sandwich which was flavored nicely but a bit cool. My son had the steak frites which he said were good. We have found it a bit different here in the UK that restaurants don't ask how you want your meat cooked.

For dessert my husband had the amazing spiced pudding, and both of the kids ordered the brownie with ice cream. They shared, so I can say first hand it was beyond good! The chocolate was perfect.

Stumbled on the quaint gastro pub when trying to find Gluten Free options. They did not dissappont. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly the venue was lively on Thursday night but a bit calmer in a Wed afternoon. But the crown jewel was the food. The fish and chips were to die for and something I have missed. The lamb pie was Gluten Free and so tasty it melted in your mouth. They offer a variety of drink choices and well a bit it was hands down my favorite pub. It was so good we came back twice. The Wed ambiance is more relaxed the Thursday is more after work lively.

I'm so glad I found this spot ! I made reservations and when I walked in they had a perfect spot by the window with a little name tag saying reserved with my name on it! The IPA Ease Up they had was my favorite beer of the entire trip! I tried looking it up in the states but no luck. The fish and chips were soooo yummy. The atmosphere was cool and it's a great people watching spot. Will definitely come back next time I'm in London
