      This is not the kind of competence and customer service I would expect from a company with a Better Business Bureau A+ rating. After scheduling an appointment giving them my address and waiting 4 days for the tech to arrive I was informed 5 minutes before the appointment that they don't service Mobile homes and hung up on, and wasted a vacation day from work for nothing.

      Very in happy I contacted them to fix my furnace at 11pm and it's 8:30 pm the next day and I still haven't gotten a call from them I have 1yr old twin sons so I can't be without heat but apparently they don't care so for that I cannot and will not ever attempt to use them again

      My air conditioner had been struck by lightning and I didn't call to have it repaired right away because I knew it would be expensive. I called Poorman's and the tech arrived just when he said he would. He explained which parts needed replaced and also gave me the costs so there were no surprises. He had it repaired in a few hours and the cost was hundreds less than I had anticipated. I had also called Poorman's when my heat went out a few years ago and received the same great service. I will never use anyone else besides Poorman's if I have problems again. They're the best!

      The furnace and A/C manufacturer Trane recommends only two contractors in Fort Wayne: Poorman's and Masters. I got an examination of my system and estimates for replacing my old leaky A/C unit. The Poorman's rep not only knew far more about the equipment, from a technical standpoint, but his estimate was $1,100 (!) lower than Masters'. Same unit, same warranty, same everything. Very impressive.
      The work starts later this week. I'll do a follow-up rating once I see how it goes.

      The unit was nice the tech was AMAZING however, a year after getting the unit the compressor went out. I don't blame Poormans I blame Trane. What I do blame Poormans for is Tiffany's poor customer service. She called my husband and said the compressor was on back order and said she had no idea when it would be in. I call since the high for the weekend was 90 (we have a 3 year old and a 8 month year old) was told she would have to call Trane and get the estimated date. She calls and tells me it would be in by Friday. So I don't hear anything from them and I call back and she gets rude with me tells me I should make other arrangements for my family if the house is to hot because that is what she would do. I just spent $7,000 on a new AC so this wouldn't happen. No part on Friday. I call Monday and a guy named Ken answered told me Tiffany woke up sick she is running a little late. I tell him I just wanted to know when the AC would be fixed today. He cuts me off and says I have no idea of knowing this I'll have to call Tiffany. I said that's fine, but this is what I want to know. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Call Trane before your customer. The part is under warranty they offer 24 hour emergency service they should have sent somebody out Saturday to fix it. I suggested this as well as other solutions and Tiffany said nope not going to happen. When I asked to speak to a manager it was her she said. I suggest this company gets new office staff or train them on customer service. The Tech that put the unit in and came out to see what was wrong with it were all super friendly and knowledgeable.
